Operations & Systems Consulting
You built the business. Now let’s build what runs it.
As your small business operations consultant, A Ward Collaborations helps owners turn good ideas into systems, workflows, and infrastructure that work — even when you’re not the one holding it all together.

You’re the bottleneck — and you know it.
Every decision, every new hire’s training, and every exception routes through you. That’s not a personal failing — it’s what happens when a business grows without ever building the systems to support it.
You're the schedule, the onboarding process, and the quality check — all at once.
When you're out, quality visibly drops — because the process was not defined.
Every new client or hire makes the chaos worse, not better.
Audit. Build. Sustain.
Audit
We map how work actually happens today and find where time and money are leaking.
Build
We design and install the systems that fix it — standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, onboarding, and tools your team can actually use.
Sustain
We stay on to keep those systems working as your business changes, so they don't quietly fall apart the moment we leave.
Built for owners who are done winging it.
If you’re the reason everything runs — and the reason everything stalls when you’re not around — this is for you. We build systems that scale with your growing business, so the work doesn’t depend on you being in every detail.
Whether you need an operations consultant for service businesses or systems consulting for growing agencies, we tailor the work to how you actually operate.
Currently taking on a small number of founding clients — including ongoing website, content, and client-operations support for a growing trading-education business.
Case study coming soon — featured once the client has approved being named publicly.

The partner behind the systems
10+ Years Leading Finance & Operations for $100M+ Hospitality Brands | Founder, A Ward Collaborations
I'm an operations-minded partner for small business owners who'd rather spend their time on clients and craft than reinventing the filing system every few months. Before founding A Ward Collaborations, I spent over a decade leading finance and operations for major hospitality brands — Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Omni, Highgate — at properties representing over $100 million in assets. I designed standard operating procedures that cut a 60–90 day collection cycle down to 30–45 days, streamlined operational procedures, and led full financial system transitions — new payment platforms, new payroll and HR systems — without a single day of disrupted operations. What I learned, over and over: the businesses that thrive aren't the ones with the fewest problems — they're the ones where nothing depends on just one person remembering how it works.
Most small business owners don't fail for lack of ideas — they stall for lack of systems. I started A Ward Collaborations because small business owners deserve the same operational rigor that $100M properties can't survive without, without needing a corporate budget or a corporate team to get it. I exist to be the outside partner who builds that missing infrastructure — documented processes, workflows, and tooling that let your business run predictably, whether or not you're in the room.
The name is a small promise built into it: work worth an award, and a steady hand watching over the parts of your business that keep it running.
Enhance, not replace — I build around the people and processes already working for you.
You keep the keys — You stay the owner of record on your accounts and infrastructure.
Built to outlast me — Every system is documented and simple enough for your team to run on their own.
Every engagement follows the same arc.
Audit what’s happening today, build the systems that fix the biggest gaps, then stick around to make sure they hold up as your business grows. Pricing is fixed by the size and scope of your business — not by the clock — so you know the full cost upfront.

Frequently Asked Questions
The most common questions about working together — pricing, scope, and how the engagement actually runs.
An Operations Audit is fixed-scope, based on business size: $1,500 for solo/small teams (1–5 people), $2,200 for growing teams (6–15 people), and $3,000 for established teams (16+ people). It includes a documented map of how your business runs today and a prioritized list of what to fix first. If you move forward within 30 days with a Build Sprint, the full audit cost is credited toward it.
The Audit maps how your business currently runs and identifies the biggest gaps. The Build Sprint designs and installs the actual systems — SOPs, workflow tools, onboarding docs, and team training — building directly on what the Audit uncovers. The Retainer then keeps those systems maintained and updated as the business grows, with a 3-month minimum, carrying the work forward from the Build Sprint.

Yes. Registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits, churches, and ministries receive 10% off any package or hourly rate.
It means refining and documenting the processes, workflows, and light tooling currently living in the owner's head so the business can operate predictably — through hiring, client growth, or the owner's absence — without a reduction in quality or everything routing back through one person.
Yes — hourly work is available at $175/hour with a 2-hour minimum, for one-off fixes outside a package. Most businesses find a package saves money once more than a couple of hours of work are needed.
A Ward Collaborations is run by Alissa Ward — a mother, a servant of Jesus Christ, and a business owner who believes operations work should be done in excellence, not just checked off a list. Alissa partners with small business owners to build the documented systems and workflows that let their business run predictably without the owner holding it all in their head. The same value she brings to her family and her faith — showing up fully, doing it right the first time — is what she brings to every client engagement.
